'FORGOTTEN' NO MORE
Front page headline in Daytona Beach, Florida, News-Journal June 25, 2009
IN THEIR OWN WORDS... forgotten war veterans record for their children and grandchildren first-hand stories they can read in a book. These personal narratives transform THE FORGOTTEN - Volume One into a memoir of the Korean War and a written witness of each veteran's sacrifices.

DADDY'S GIRL SAYS GOODBYE
by William A. Cummins
My daddy was a veteran, who served his country well. He will not be forgotten, and here's how I can tell.
I touched his cheek so softly, he looked so calm and still. I felt his touch upon my hand, and shuttered from the chill.
Memories came flooding back, like shadows on my hand. As slowly I remembered, this brave and handsome man.
I was afraid I'd lost him, time goes so fast you know. It's all in how you catch it, and bring it under tow.
In my hand is THE FORGOTTEN, with my daddy's name inside. His story I cannot forget, he put it there with pride.
His service to our country, was posted there with care. So he would be remembered, by all who met him there.
